PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To peel a glass film from a support body easily and at a low cost regardless of a type of manufacturing-related treatment.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a glass film 2 comprises: a laminate forming process S1 in which a laminate 3 including the glass film 2 is formed by laminating the glass film 2 and a support body 1 supporting the glass film 2 and fixing them to a peelable degree; a manufacturing-related treatment process S2 in which manufacturing-related treatment is applied to the laminate 3; and a separation process S3 in which the laminate 3 is separated into the glass film 2 and the support body 1 by peeling the support body 1 from the glass film 2 after the manufacturing-related treatment process S2. In the separation process S3, external force F is applied only to the support body 1 to bend the support body 1 in a direction separating from the glass film 2, by which a gap 18 being an origin of peeling start is formed between the glass film 2 and the support body 1.
