PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel optical member, especially a novel optical member capable of being used as above handwriting input sheet.SOLUTION: An optical member comprises a reflective layer and an information presentation layer. The reflective layer includes one or more of circularly polarized light reflecting layers selected from a group composed of: a right-handed circularly polarized light reflecting layer selectively reflecting right-handed circularly polarized light; and a left-handed circularly polarized light reflecting layer selectively reflecting left-handed circularly polarized light. The circularly polarized light reflecting layer includes a layer in which a cholesteric liquid crystal phase is fixed, and has a reflection wavelength having a normal reflectance of over 20% to unpolarized light in a wavelength range where the circularly polarized light reflecting layer indicates selective reflection. The reflection wavelength has a diffuse reflectance of less than 50% to unpolarized light. The reflection wavelength is located in an infrared wavelength range. The information presentation layer has a pattern of a material that absorbs or reflects the light of the reflection wavelength.
