PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control apparatus capable of suppressing occurrence of braking-force unintended by a driver to a wheel when a vehicle collides.SOLUTION: A vehicle control apparatus 10 includes: plural shock absorption parts that operate when a vehicle collides; and an automatic brake control part 60 for automatically generating braking-force in a wheel 14 independently on a brake operation when the vehicle collides. The automatic brake control part 60 changes a magnitude of braking-force on the basis of an operational condition of shock absorption parts such as a driver-seat front airbag 22 disposed in front of a driver seat.
