PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vernier motor capable of effectively utilizing a magnetic flux from a magnet installed in a rotor.SOLUTION: The vernier motor includes: a rotor 10 in which a plurality of rotor cores 11 and magnets 12 are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction; and outer peripheral and inner peripheral stators 20 and 30 which are provided at an outer peripheral side and an inner peripheral side of the rotor 10. The magnets 12 are magnetized in the circumferential direction of the rotor, and directions of magnetization of the neighboring magnets 12 are inverse. The outer peripheral stator 20 and the inner peripheral stator 30 include a plurality of slots 21b and 31b which are formed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction on surfaces opposite to the rotor 10; and coils 22 and 32 which are accommodated in the slots 21b and 31b. The numbers of the slots 21b and 31b are equal. When a cycle of the slots 21b and 31b is defined as (a), the inner stator 30 is disposed relatively to the outer stator 30 in such a manner that the positions of the slots 21b and 31b in the circumferential direction are relatively deviated by a half (a/2) of the cycle (a). |
