PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller capable of displaying objects having various modes while automatically optimizing the same on a system with a high degree of freedom in layout.SOLUTION: The display controller includes: a display mode determination section that determines a display mode of an additional display item based on a piece of first information relevant to the additional display item which is to be additionally displayed on a screen responding to an additional request of the display item and a piece of second information relevant to an in-display item which is already displayed on the screen before the additional display item is displayed; and an issue section that issues a piece of display control information for controlling the display on the screen on the basis of the display mode of the additional display item determined by the display mode determination section.
