PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a token identification device, even when a pattern represented on the surface of a token is displaced, capable of accurately identifying the token.SOLUTION: A token identification device 1 includes: a token area detection part 61 that detects a token area on which an identification object token is photographed, from an image formed by an imaging part 4; an edge detection part 62 for detecting edge pixels in the token area; an edge position correction part 67 that generates a correction image by moving each edge pixel in the token area by a rotation angle and a translation amount when distribution of edge pixels in a model area in which prescribed token models are represented, most closely matches distribution of the edge pixels in the token area; a degree-of-coincidence calculation part 68 that calculates a maximum value of a degree of coincidence of edge image distributions of the token area and the model area, by positioning a center of the model area and a center of the token area of the correction image and changing rotation angles of the model area and the token area by a prescribed angle; and a determination part 70 for determining whether the identification object token is a prescribed token according to the maximum value of the degree of coincidence. |
