The present invention relates to a weld cap nut and, more specifically, to a weld cap nut capable of being stably bonded and fixed between a metal plate without a gap as being instantaneously welded onto the metal plate in a projection welding method by having an improved structure of the weld cap nut, surely guaranteeing watertightness by preventing the metal plate from being deformed or discolored due to welding heat, and improving productivity and mechanical strength. The weld cap nut fixed by being welded on the inner surface of the metal plate includes: a cap-shaped body in which a bolt coupling hole is formed in the center of the lower surface; a first welding protrusion formed along the outer side of the bolt coupling hole on the lower surface of the body; and multiple second welding protrusions protruding at intervals in an area from the lower part of the outer circumference of the body to an edge of the lower surface of the body. The body and the metal plate are bonded without a gap by the first welding protrusion and the second welding protrusion melt and pressed by the welding. Also, the bonding strength between the body and the metal plate is reinforced. |
