Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for processing an electrical signal. The apparatus for processing a signal can supply a first electrical signal to a variable impedance unit in a first operating mode; amplify a voltage signal outputted from the variable impedance unit by using an amplification unit; sample the voltage signal outputted from the amplification unit in the first operating mode; hold the voltage signal, which has been sampled in the first operating mode, in a second operating mode; generate a second electrical signal based on the voltage signal inputted to the amplification unit in the second operating mode; and supply the generated second electrical signal to the variable impedance unit.
