MEMORY MANAGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing a main memory including a DRAM and an NVRAM in accordance with the operational state of a computer having the main memory.SOLUTION: The memory management method includes: (a) loading a program or the like in a DRAM, and loading predetermined read-only data or the like in an NVRAM when a computer is activated; (b) moving the data of the DRAM to the NVRAM by a page unit in a state transition from a normal operation to a suspend state; (c) reading the data from the NVRAM by the page unit for executing the program in the state transition from the suspend state to the normal operation; (d) stopping the writing of data when the writing of data in the NVRAM by the page unit occurs, and moving the data in the data area of the NVRAM in which the writing of data occurs to the DRAM by the page unit; and (e) performing the writing of data by the page unit in the DRAM after the data are moved.
