PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet detector which stably detects droplet ejection, prevents the detection of droplet ejection from being obstructed by mists or a droplet produced by the mists and can suppress influence exerting on an orbit of the ejected droplet.SOLUTION: A droplet detector includes a light emission means which irradiates an ejected droplet with light and a light receiving means which detects generated scattering light, the light emission means has a light source and a light emission means protection part provided with a light emission opening part, the light receiving means has a light receiving part and a light receiving means protection part provided with a light receiving opening part, the light emission means protection part includes a first light emission means protection part provided with a first light emission opening part and a second light emission means protection part provided with a second light emission opening part as an opening larger than the first light emission opening part in the order from the light source side, the light receiving means protection part includes a first light receiving means protection part provided with a first light receiving opening part and a second light receiving means protection part provided with a second light receiving opening part as an opening larger than the first light receiving opening part in the order from the light receiving part side, and a blowing means for blowing air to a prescribed region is provided. |
