1,003,832. Lampshades. J. A. C. DE SENTMENAT. June 14, 1962 [Aug. 4, 1961], No. 22963/62. Heading F4R. A lampshade comprises a support having a pair of jaws on one of which a peg or pegs is provided and a flexible translucent lamina having one end disposed between the jaws, the part outside the jaws being bent to urge the lamina continuously against each jaw. In one form, an annular support 1, Fig. 1, has a flange 2 and a second flange 3 projecting to a greater extent and bearing pegs 4 on which the laminae may be secured. The supports may be double having two peg bearing flanges so that a composite shade as in Fig. 11 may be built up using two supports 8 as in Fig. 1, and two double supports with three sets of laminae arranged between them. In a modification, the support is arranged for wall mounting, the laminae being curved about a vertical axis. In this case, two or more sets of laminae curved to different radii may be arranged one above the other. Similar forms for use with suspended or standing lamps are also described. Specification 886,033 is referred to.
|
