PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat that can protect quickly a head of an occupant at collision so as to prevent whiplash by an inexpensive and simple structure, and further, whose seat back can be reused.SOLUTION: A pair of left and right vertical grooves 7 and 7 in a vertical direction are formed on left and right end parts on a design surface of a pad 6 of a seat back 3 that a back of a seated occupant contacts; a lateral groove 8 in a lateral direction, both ends of which are continuous to both vertical grooves 7 and 7 to constitute a H-shape groove is formed at a position, corresponding to an approximate center of the back of the seated occupant, on the design surface of the pad 6; Sewing parts 12a, 12b and 12c of a plurality of cover element bodies 11a, 11b, 11c and 11d are designed so that a cover 11, which is arranged and formed at deep parts of the grooves 7 and 8 along the grooves 7 and 8, covers the pad 6, where depths of both vertical grooves 7 and 7 are set to be deepest near a position where the vertical grooves cross the lateral groove 8 and to get gradually shallower toward upper and lower ends. |
