PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a carrier of a planetary gear train capable of easily assembling a pinion gear.SOLUTION: A clearance (&phgr;A+B) formed between first wall surfaces 60 and rotatably accommodating therein a third planetary gear P3 is larger than a clearance (&phgr;A+C) between second wall surfaces 62 (&phgr;A+B>&phgr;A+C). This is because an eccentricity due to an oscillation that occurs when the third planetary gear P3 rotates is larger than a second clearance C necessary at a time of assembling the third planetary gear P3. A recess (60) is formed in each first wall surface 60 so as to secure a necessary dimension (=&phgr;A+B) when the third planetary gear P3 rotates, thereby making it possible to prevent the third planetary gear P3 from contacting a wall surface 56 during rotation and prevent wear due to the contact between the third planetary gear P3 and the wall surface 56.
