PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device that can accurately obtain an amount of toner in a toner bottle, and to provide the toner bottle that is used while being mounted to the image formation device.SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises a bottle drive unit that rotatively drives a toner bottle in a first rotation direction serving as a rotation direction for discharging toner and in a second rotation direction serving as an opposite direction of the first rotation direction. Then, an amount of toner in the toner bottle is calculated in a toner-amount calculation mode, in which in the toner-amount calculation mode, the amount of toner in the toner bottle is configured to be calculated by a first rotation-amount index value serving as a value indexing an amount of rotation of the toner bottle in a first direction rotation control rotatively driving the toner bottle in the first rotation direction. Further, prior to execution of the first direction rotation control in the toner-amount calculation mode, a second direction rotation control is executed that causes the toner bottle to rotate in the second rotation direction. |
