PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery which does not induce increase of the process cost and suffers little degradation of cell characteristics even when the content of silver of a back surface silver electrode is reduced, and a manufacturing method for the solar battery.SOLUTION: A step of forming a back surface electrode contains a step S50 of selectively removing an n-type diffusion layer of an electrode formation area for external extraction, a step (aluminum paste coating step) S80 of forming an aluminum-contained electrode on the back surface as a second principal surface other than the electrode formation area for external extraction, and a step S70 of forming a back surface silver electrode as an electrode for external extraction in the electrode formation area for external extraction. A p-type back surface electric field layer is formed by aluminum diffusion from the aluminum-contained electrode. |
