PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device capable of improving a signal read-out speed while suppressing power consumption, keeping sensitivity and a saturation charge amount, or reducing noise.SOLUTION: The solid state image pickup device comprises: a first photoelectric converter (1) for converting light to electric charge: a first field effect transistor (4) which includes a gate which the electric charge converted by the first photoelectric converter is inputted thereto; and a bipolar transistor (6) whose base is connected to the source of the first field effect transistor and whose emitter outputs a signal. |
