PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track adjustment system for operating a track maintenance machine (17) which can travel on a railway track (1), the system comprising: computer-controlled lifting and lining devices for adjusting a track position; a control measuring device for measuring the track position in a region of the lifting and lining devices (14); a confirmation measuring device for measuring the corrected track position; and a tamping device (24) for tamping a ballasted track of the railway track.SOLUTION: The amount of elastic springback (&Dgr;c) of the track panel, which results from a lining force (F) acting on the track, is calculated, and the elastic springback (&Dgr;c) is considered in presetting a target lining value such that the track is displaced by the lifting and lining devices beyond a target position (0) by the amount of the elastic springback (&Dgr;c). |
