PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce the waterproof structure in a starter motor 1 without degrading drainage function.SOLUTION: In a starter motor 1, a second hole 14 is formed upward and outward, in a vertical direction, of an opening outside of a first hole 13 and an air-permeable, water-repellent filter 18 is attached to the second hole 14. With this configuration, it is possible to suppress the entry of water in the second hole 14 without preventing introduction of outdoor air and without degrading a drainage function of the first hole 13 by attaching the filter 18 not to the first hole 13 but to the second hole 14. As a result, it is possible to reinforce a waterproof structure in the starter motor 1 without degrading the drainage function. |
