Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a control method thereof. The mobile terminal and the control method thereof of the present invention comprises the following steps of: sensing entering into a certain place by using a low power Bluetooth technology; determining and displaying recommended setting information of a terminal by using information related to the certain place received from an external wireless sensor; and changing a setting of a terminal to be corresponded to the recommended setting information when receiving a certain input about the recommended setting information. According to the present invention, battery consumption can be minimized, and the setting information which is appropriate for a position of a terminal can be recommended by using the low power Bluetooth technology.
