The present invention relates to a method for preparing aramid fibers to reinforce vehicle part materials. An emulsion containing modified polydimethylsiloxane is coated on surfaces of the aramid fibers. According to the present invention, the aramid fibers, which are prepared by using the method to reinforce vehicle part materials, have low surface tension and a low contact angle when coming in contact with a polypropylene resin without a reaction group on the surface while having excellent impact resistance and being used as a thermoplastic resin for vehicle part materials at the same time. In other words, the aramid fibers have enhanced wetting properties to significantly improve adhesion properties as a result. Accordingly, the aramid fibers can reduce the weight of a vehicle part material developed as a final product and significantly increase the breaking strength when being used as reinforcing fibers for the vehicle part material employed to manufacture vehicle parts such as vehicle bumpers or vehicle back beams. |
