The present invention relates to a touch input device and a touch input method, which allow both an ordinary person and a blind person to easily and conveniently input a secret number, a telephone number, and the like through a touch panel when necessary. The touch input device comprises: a touch panel unit which operates when a user touches or drags the touch panel unit with his or her fingers; a sensing unit which senses simultaneous multi-touch or multi-drag; a simultaneous sensing determination unit which determines the number of simultaneous touches or simultaneous drags sensed by the sensing unit, the number of simultaneous touches after dragging, or the number of simultaneous drags after touching; a signal conversion unit which performs a conversion into specific signals according to the number of simultaneous touches or simultaneous drags, the number of simultaneous touches after dragging, or the number of simultaneous drags after touching, which is determined by the simultaneous sensing determination unit; and a control unit which operates when the touch panel unit is touched or dragged, determines the number of simultaneous touches, simultaneous drags, the number of simultaneous touches after dragging, or the number of simultaneous drags after touching, performs a conversion into a specific signal corresponding to a result value of the determination, and performs a control to display or store the specific signal obtained by the conversion. The present invention provides the touch input device and the touch input method which can be commonly used by both the ordinary person and the blind person and allow anyone to easily and conveniently input desired numbers without memorizing a Braille shape, a dot position, a pattern direction, or the number of dots. |
