The present invention relates to a wearable device and a control method thereof. The wearable device comprises: an attachment and detachment detecting unit which detects whether a wearable device is attached or detached from a user; and a control unit which restricts operations of the wearable device when detecting the detachment of the wearable device from the user through the attachment and detachment detecting unit, performs user authentication when detecting the attachment of the wearable device to the user through the attachment and detachment unit during the operation restriction, and releases the operation restriction when the user authentication is passed. |
