Disclosed are a laser welding apparatus and a laser welding method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the laser welding method receives welding data including a welding trace along which a laser beam is emitted on an object to be welded, moves the laser beam along the welding trace while emitting the laser beam to the object to be welded according to the inputted welding data, determines whether the welding trace of the laser beam is a curved section, and limits a rotation angle of an actuator adjusting an emission angle of the laser beam while emitting the laser beam to a curved section within a predetermined angle range if the welding trace of the laser beam is a curved section.
