<p>The method involves implementing activation step on sub-sets of detection units associated to subsets of heating units (12a-12d) i.e. inductors, where the detection units detect the presence of a container. The activation step is repeated sequentially on the sub-sets of detection units until wholeness of the heating units covered by the container positioned on a cooking surface is identified, where the subsets of the detection units correspond to a partition of total detection units of a cook top. An independent claim is also included for a cook top, comprising heating units distributed along a bi-dimensional grid under a cooking surface.</p> |
