The method involves injecting thermosetting plastic resin based on plastic injection-compression molding with a mass injection compression tool and a punching tool. Support elements (3) are formed within a spraying embossing tool by punching process to an optical imaging element i.e. mirror (1), before ejection of the imaging element from the injection-compression tool. A sprue is separated from the optical imaging element during punching process. The punching tool is partly introduced into a cavity of the mass injection compression tool. An independent claim is also included for a display device comprising imaging elements.
