A gateway device that relays data between a first communication network and multiple communication devices and/or a second communication network, said gateway device being provided with: multiple control units which communicate first data received from the multiple communication devices and/or the second communication network and also communicate second data to the multiple communication devices and/or the second communication network; and a data analysis and management unit that analyzes data received from the first communication network, communicates the analysis results to the appropriate control units of the multiple control units, and analyzes the first data received from the multiple control units and communicates the results to the first communication network. The data analysis and management unit generates multiple local MAC addresses from the MAC address provided for the gateway device and assigns them to the multiple control units. |
