Provided are a biological information monitoring device and a seat with a back rest, with which biological information of a measurement subject can be detected at high accuracy, and which, through a non-contact and unrestrained arrangement, reduces the burden on the measurement subject. The biological information monitoring device according to the present embodiment is provided with: a first blood flow measurement means (2) provided to the seat surface of a seat, the first blood flow measurement means (2) measuring the condition of blood flow of the popliteal artery of a measurement subject while the measurement subject is seated in the seat; a second blood flow measurement means (3) provided to the seatback surface of the seat, the second blood flow measurement means (3) measuring the condition of blood flow of the thoracic aorta of the measurement subject; and a blood pressure computing means for calculating pulse wave velocity and severity of arterial sclerosis from the blood flow data measured by the first blood flow measurement means (2) and the blood flow data measured by the second blood flow measurement means (3), and computing the blood pressure of the measurement subject's popliteal artery and thoracic aorta, respectively, on the basis of the pulse wave velocity and the severity of arterial sclerosis. |
