Through the present invention, defects in appearance are prevented while molding properties are enhanced. A die (100) for forming a resin molded article (1) having a proximal part (2) and a rib (3) protruding from the proximal part from a molten resin (200) loaded into a cavity (300), wherein are provided a base part and an insert (103) having a loading recess (103a) into which the molten resin (200) for forming the rib is loaded, and a gap (400) communicated with an outside (600) and the loading recess is formed into which the molten resin cannot penetrate. Through this configuration, air present in the loading recess is not readily blown to molten resin other than the molten resin loaded into the loading recess, and defects in appearance can therefore be prevented while molding properties are enhanced.
