In order to be capable of performing retransmission control that more efficiently uses wireless resources, this wireless communications device is configured so as to comprise: a wireless communications unit that performs wireless communications with terminal devices; a communications control unit that controls multicast transmission by this wireless communications unit; and a setting unit that sets a threshold for determining the necessity of retransmission by the communications control unit, in accordance with information relating to reception of a receipt confirmation response from the terminal device, corresponding to the multicast transmission.
