The purpose of the present invention is to provide a highly reliable method for testing container sealing and an assistance device for making it possible to carry out a portion of the steps of the testing method without proficiency. Provided is a method for testing the sealing of a container opening and a cap provided with a resin outer seal and resin inner seal formed on the inner surface of a top surface portion, said method being provided with: a first piercing step for forming, in the top surface portion of the cap, which is screwed onto the container opening, a first hole communicating with a first space defined by the inner seal, outer seal, and a peripheral portion of the opening of the container; a first injection step for injecting a dye into the first space; a first waiting step for leaving as is the container having the dye injected into the first space; a first checking step for checking whether dye has leaked into the container having the dye injected into the first space; and an evaluation step for evaluating the sealing. |
