The present invention sets forth a method, device and mobile terminal for detecting abnormal CPU occupancy rate of an APP; wherein, the method comprising: obtaining parameter information of the current running APP, and sending to a server a query request carrying the parameter information so that the server obtains the query result on the basis of the query request; receiving the query result returned by the server, and determining whether the CPU occupancy rate of the corresponding APP is abnormal on the basis of the query result; and displaying prompt information when the CPU occupancy rate of the corresponding APP is abnormal. The method, device and mobile terminal for detecting abnormal CPU occupancy rate of the APP in the embodiments of the present invention can accurately determine whether the CPU occupancy rate of each APP in the terminal is abnormal; and when the abnormality occurs, the user can implement some relevant processes on the APP with abnormal CPU occupancy rate on the basis of the displayed prompt information so as to reduce the effect of the APP with abnormal CPU occupancy rate on the terminal system, and then the running efficiency of the terminal system may be improved.
