<p>A one-way fluid valve generally referred to as a "reed" type valve includes a valve module which may be deployed as part of a valve assembly. The valve module (10) includes a body (100) with at least one fluid channel, a plate (200) providing a fluid seal across the fluid channel (105), and a biasing element (400), which provides a biasing force to releasably retain the plate in a fluid sealing relation across the fluid channel. More specifically, the plate is disposed in a hinging relation across the fluid channel, and at least one spring provides a biasing force against the plate. When the pressure on the inlet (110) side of the valve is great enough to overcome the biasing force, the plate hinges open, breaking the seal, and allowing the pressure on both sides of the plate to equalize.</p> |
