The present invention discloses a display panel which includes a substrate, a plurality of data lines, a plurality of color filters, a plurality of black matrixes, and a liquid crystal layer. A thin film transistor is disposed on the substrate. The data lines are connected to the thin film transistor and disposed on the substrate. The color filters are disposed between adjacent data lines. The black matrixes are overlapped with the data lines. The liquid crystal layer is disposed on the color filters, and includes a flat area and a step area. The flat area has a flat upper surface, and the step area has a step in the vicinity of an end of the flat area.
