PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting apparatus capable of checking the operation of a suction nozzle while preventing increase in size and weight of a mounting head.SOLUTION: The component mounting apparatus includes: a part feeder 13 for feeding a component; a front mounting head 15A and a rear mounting head 15B each of which moves independently from each other and sucks a component 3 from a part feeder 13 using plural suction nozzles 17 for mounting the same on a base plate 2; a first operation imaging camera 20A which is provided to the front mounting head 15A for taking an image of the operation of the suction nozzles 17 provided to the rear mounting head 15B; and a second operation imaging camera 20B provided to the rear mounting head 15B for taking an image of the operation of the suction nozzles 17 provided to the front mounting head 15A.
