detecting a wireless signal from a mobile device; determining an identifier for the mobile device from the wireless signal; transmitting the identifier to a server; and sending a request to the server to trigger the server to send information to the mobile device, wherein the server uses a different identifier for the mobile device than the identifier determined from the wireless signal in order to route the information to the mobile device.
