The present invention provides: an aluminum alloy plate for a drink can body, the aluminum alloy plate having an excellent chime wrinkling resistance and ironing formability; and a method for manufacturing the aluminum alloy plate for a drink can body. This aluminum alloy plate for a drink can body comprises an aluminum alloy containing, by mass, 0.45 % of Si, 0.35-0.60% of Fe, 0.1-0.3% of Cu, 0.5-1.5% of Mn, 0.8-1.5% of Mg, 0.1% or less of Ti, and 0.05% or less of B, with the remainder made up by Al and unavoidable impurities, the aluminum alloy plate having a work hardening rate of 1000 MPa or less and a work hardening index n value of 0.060 or greater in a stress-strain curve in the rolling direction. |
