This navigation system (10) is provided with a portable information terminal (3) and a navigation device (4). The portable information terminal (3) is provided with: a display unit (32); a selection-image setting unit (51) which, when contact is detected at the position of an image on a touch display, sets the image as a selection image; a sliding-movement detection unit (54) which, after the selection image has been set, detects a sliding movement in which the contact position is moved while the contact state is maintained; and a transmission unit (55) which, when the sliding movement is detected, transmits the selection image to the navigation device (4). The navigation device (4) is provided with: a reception unit (41) for receiving the selection image; and a destination setting unit (43) which, in cases when the selection image is an image (2) having positional information attached thereto, sets the destination on the basis of the positional information. |
