TRUE RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR USING RESISTANCE RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

Provided are a real random number generator and an operating method thereof. The real random number generator maintains a high integration density and fast read/write speeds which are advantages of a resistance random access memory, and uses deviation of resistance variation voltage values. The provided real number generator comprises: a resistance random access memory array which generates a random number by unit cells of the resistance random access memory; and a resistance random access memory controller which enables the resistance random access memory array to generate the random number by applying a set voltage after initializing the resistance random access memory unit cells to a first resistance state, or enables the resistance random access memory array to generate a random number by applying a reset voltage after initializing the resistance random access memory unit cells to a second resistance state.
