PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction like shifting to an oscillation mode still in a state of short-circuit false detection by making it easy to detect the rise of output voltage at a turn-on of a switching element at the time of normal switching operation.SOLUTION: A short-circuit detection circuit 14 inputs output voltage (OUT) of a switching element, and when the output voltage falls below a prescribed threshold value, outputs a control signal (SCB) to have a clamp circuit perform clamp operation like limiting output current of the switching element to the clamp circuit. When the output voltage rises due to the clamp operation by the switching element, change in the output voltage is conveyed to output via a capacitor C31, the control signal rises following it, and thereby the rise of the output voltage is made easy to detect. This quickens cancel operation of the clamp circuit and can prevent malfunction like shifting to an oscillation mode still in short-circuit false detection. |
