The present invention relates to an ignition apparatus for a fire extinguisher and a fire extinguisher thereby. The ignition apparatus for a fire extinguisher comprises: a heating body; a casing which receives the heating body and inflammable materials therein and emits the inflammable materials, heated by the heating body and gasified, to the outside; a cable which applies external power to a power terminal of the heating body; and an ignition power supply unit which supplies power accumulated in the power terminal of the heating body as ignition power. The fire extinguisher according to the present invention has the ignition apparatus. Therefore, the present invention has excellent heating efficiency as a base plate of the heating body enables surface heating and rapidly heats the heating body in a short time as the accumulated power is supplied.
