PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain plug device that facilitates fitting work.SOLUTION: A drain plug device 1 includes a release wire 4 having a transmission component 41 capable of a reciprocating motion, a piping 71 having a fitting tube part 71B provided with a pipe main body 71A and a prescribed engaged part 71H, a water conduction component 72 disposed inside the pipe main body 71A for supporting a plug cove 75, and a plug cover driving mechanism 6 having a supporting protrusion 66 for supporting the water conduction component 72. The plug cover driving mechanism 6 includes a rotary shaft 63 that rotates and moves the supporting protrusion 66 up and down, a motion direction conversion part 62 that rotates the rotary shaft 63 when the transmission component 41 makes a reciprocating motion, and a case component 61 having an engaging part 61M. The plug cover driving mechanism 6 causes the rotary shaft 63 to be inserted into the fitting tube part 71B from outside the piping 71 while being connected to an end of the release wire 4, and may be fitted on the piping 71B by engaging the engaging part 61M with the engaged part 71H. |
