The present invention relates to a visit authentication system and method. A visit authentication system of the present invention comprises: a data transmission apparatus for providing, through short-range wireless communication, first information including its own ID to a configured adjacent area when a preconfigured event occurs: a wireless communication apparatus for receiving the first information within the adjacent area and transmitting second information related to the first information; and a server for receiving the second information, determining whether visit of the wireless communication apparatus in the adjacent area is valid, and transmitting authentication information to the wireless communication apparatus when the visit is valid. |
