<p>Tire traction devices for various vehicles are described. Traction devices may comprise a tire traction assembly configured to be mounted on a tire, a pair of brackets configured to substantially straddle the sidewalls of the tire, and an attachment mechanism comprising first and second mating elements attached to opposite brackets, the attachment mechanism configured to releasably secure a traction assembly to the tire from the outward facing side of a vehicle on which the tire is mounted. Traction devices may optionally include a plurality of elastomeric tensioners positioned about the traction assembly, and/or one or more support cables configured to align the traction assembly.</p> |
