1. A system to increase an appearance of hair volume, the system comprising:
a sleeve configured to engage a host hair; at least one supplemental hair extending from the sleeve; and a clamp structured to secure the sleeve to the host hair while remaining on the sleeve and enabling the sleeve to slide in a first longitudinal direction on the host hair and resist sliding of the sleeve on the host hair in a second opposite longitudinal direction.
