The present invention relates to a composition for coating or covering paper board, comprising cereal flour, 100 to 1000 ppm of cysteine, 50 to 1000 ppm at 20,000 PNU/g of at least one protease, 10 to 1500 ppm at 1250 AXC/g of at least one hemicellulase and at least 0.1 % of a salt which is not an enzymatic inhibitor, by weight with respect to the weight of flour. The invention also relates to the use of said composition for producing coating colour or coating slip and coated or covered paper board.
