PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maraging steel manufacturing method, in which the depth of a melting pool is made shallow so as to suppress a component segregation at a remelting step of acquiring steel ingot by performing a vacuum arc remelting.SOLUTION: A maraging steel manufacturing method comprises: a primary melting step of acquiring a consumable electrode of maraging steel; and a remelting step of performing a vacuum arc remelting by using said consumable electrode thereby to acquire steel ingot. In said remelting step, a He gas is introduced at a pressure of 0.9 kPa or higher and lower than 1.9 kPa in between a cast and the steel ingot, and the depth of a molten steel pool is set at or shallower than 170 mm. |
