摘要 Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method includes receiving a primary synchronization signal (PSS) from a base station over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. The PSS may be received on adjacent orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of a first subframe of a downlink transmission. A user equipment (UE) may be synchronized with the base station based at least in part on the received PSS. A second method includes receiving a channel usage indicator over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band, and determining at least one OFDM symbol to monitor based on a time associated with the received channel usage indicator. A PSS may then be received from a base station over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the determined at least one OFDM symbol, and a UE may be synchronized with the base station based at least in part on the received PSS.
