The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for feeding an insulation tape in a process for attaching the insulation tape to the outside of a battery for an electronic vehicle. More particularly, the apparatus for feeding an insulation tape comprises: an insulation tape supply unit for supplying an insulation tape for release paper; a feeding table for feeding the insulation tape for release paper in a predetermined length; a first cylinder unit installed in one end portion of the feeding table, and gripping the insulation tape for release paper from the insulation tape supply unit or releasing the insulation tape for release paper; a vacuum adsorption unit for performing vacuum adsorption of the insulation tape for release paper fed by the feeding table; a second cylinder unit for gripping release paper, separated from the insulation tape for release paper, or releasing the release paper; and a release paper recollection unit for recollecting the release paper. The apparatus for feeding an insulation tape can feed the insulation tape more accurately as the feeding table moves horizontally, eliminates a defect caused by accumulation of impurities on an attachment side as the insulation tape is fed while the attachment side of the insulation tape faces the down side. In addition, the insulation tape is fed while the release paper is not separated. Therefore, when the insulation tape is inappropriately fed, the insulation tape can be corrected to be appropriately fed. Therefore, the apparatus and method for feeding an insulation tape can save materials for the insulation tape. |
