PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact side emission type light-emitting device which has high heat dissipation properties and is easy to mount.SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises: a substrate which is provided with a first main surface serving as a light-emitting surface, a second main surface facing the first main surface, and a mounting surface adjacent to at least the second main surface and has an insulating base material and a pair of connection terminals; a light-emitting element mounted on the first main surface of the substrate; and a sealing member which seals the light-emitting element and is formed to be substantially flush with the substrate on the mounting surface. The substrate has, on the second main surface, the pair of connection terminals and a heat dissipation terminal provided between the pair of connection terminals. |
