PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel hemopoietin receptor protein and DNA encoding it.SOLUTION: A novel hemopoietin receptor gene (NR10) having a specified base sequence is isolated based on a sequence predicted from conserved motifs extracted from the amino acid sequence of a known hemopoietin receptor. The NR10 is a novel hemopoietin receptor molecule concerning body's immune regulation and hematopoietic cell regulation, which is useful in search of new hematopoietic factors that can functionally bind to the receptor and in development of therapeutic medicine for immune/hematopoietic system-related diseases.
